I'm very excited to finally communicate where Salt Church will be meeting starting in September!

From the very beginning, it was a no brainer to pursue meeting at Verrado High School. I live 5 minutes from there and it was the only school in all of Buckeye that would be available.

Then God opened my eyes.

Back in November, I got to take a tour of Canyon View High School in Waddell. Being born and raised in Phoenix, I'm not sure I could have located Waddell on a map while growing up. It's funny how God works.

To say the tour blew me away would be an understatement. If you have driven by there, you know what I'm talking about.

I often tell people that if I were to build a church from scratch, it would look like Canyon View. 

But it's not just the facilities. Here's what sealed the deal:

• Partnership with a brand new school and brand new church to grow together

• Diverse population of students = potential for a diverse church

• Very little church presence in the immediate area

• Ongoing rapid growth

• Allows expansion of target area as far south as Buckeye, as far east as the 303, and as far north as Surprise

We got the final approval to meet there on January 28th!

If you pause it at 52 seconds, you'll see what's called "The Agora."

The first time I saw it, I saw two things.

First is the potential for community to happen before and after services (it's built with shade so it never gets over 85 degrees, even during the summer).

The next thing I immediately saw in my head were the dozens of baptisms that will take place with those the Lord will put in our midst to reach with the Gospel.

I'd be remiss to not thank Ron Talley for pushing this to happen.
