Our Mission Statement

Happy Friday!

I hope this email finds you healthy, safe, and hopefully not going stir crazy.

Crafting a mission statement is not the easiest thing. If we're all honest, every church should just adopt The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and paint that on a wall for all to see.

Without further delay, here's the mission of Salt Church...

We exist to transform everyday people into fully
engaged disciples of Jesus Christ.

While putting this together, I thought a lot about the small group that meets at my house on Sunday nights.

In the group, we have a linemen for APS, a pilot for American Airlines, four teachers (all for different types of schools), a couple business owners, three stay-at-home moms (the real heroes), and others.

Everyday people who wake up, take care of their families, work, go to bed, repeat the same thing the next day.

Everyday people who meet at my house on Sunday nights to eat together and study the Bible.

Everyday people pushing to be disciples of Jesus Christ.

We all are surrounded by "everyday people" in every context of life.

If we are to fulfill The Great Commission, we must both model and communicate the Gospel in these contexts.

That's the reason the Church exists - for the Gospel to go forward and disciples to be made. Fully engaged disciples who love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind.

Have a great weekend!

- Michael
